Review: TheGodBeast Customs Glyos Red Sharkorvor Head Glyos Accessory

TheGodBeast Customs Glyos Red Sharkorvor Head Glyos AccessoryI got the Sharkorvor head a while back, and let me tell you it's pretty sweet. Like many of the other harder hand-molded heads, TheGodBeast cast these in a variety of colors so you could paint them and use them as you see fit - mine came in clear red, but these were often treated more as a "kit" than a part unto themselves. Many Glyos collectors will customize or modify parts, but I see this as a sin so I left it as it came to me - and I think I'm going to leave it that way.

Review: Banimon Custom Corps Series 1 #11 Figure

Banimon Custom Corps Series 1 #11 Action FigureI was lucky enough to get a Banimon Custom Corps Series 1 #11 figure - don't ask how, it isn't important who died. Click here to see the entire run of 32 figures, many of which incorporated parts from other Glyos figures or newly sculpted or one-off molded pieces. As always these things aren't meant to be played with due to the specialized paint and pointy nature of some of the parts and pieces.

Cassette Man Studios - Post-NYCC Drop Friday Night

Cassette Man Studios wrote in to let us know that there will be a drop tonight - the swell figures will go on sale Friday, October 25 at 10:00 PM Eastern at the Cassette Man Studios store.

Taa'lon from the Animus series of figures will be $40.00 when they go on sale.

If you like Micronauts, and you love birds, there's really no more interesting hand-made figure on the market today.  These swell figures mix original parts and existing Onell Design parts, resulting in a pretty nifty figure that, odds are, you do not yet have.

New Stuff at Bah'Glenn Creations

Bah'Glenn Creations updated their store with wares from New York Comic Con the other week - you can grab some pretty nifty figures, including $5 Lil'grinds in various shapes and colors.

There are also numerous heads and other items - and if you would like a rocky little buddy to pal around with your Glyos guys, these may be a perfect fit.  Take a look!

New Armorvor Custom Head: Angler

A new Armorvor head sculpt, courtesy of Jason Frailey!  The Angler sculpt seen here has a removable antenna and a movable jaw.

Click here to see more pictures on Mr. Frailey's blog!

As far as I know it is not for sale at this time nor is it being produced just yet, if at all.  It is pretty spectacular, though!

Coming Soon: Something New from Bah'glenn and Cassette Man Studios

Chis Negri of Bah'glenn Creations sent me a pic and a blurb, and now I'm going to share it with you.  I assume we'll have more specifics soon!  Here's the info he sent:

"Here is a sneak-peak of the packaging art being worked on by Victor Durango (soundwave810 of Cassette Man Studios) for the re-branding of Chris Negri's (Bah'glenn of Bah'glenn Creations) Glyos toyline. The artwork will be wrapped around the box for the new Ston'emm figures releases. It will also be used for future releases of two new races to the toyline."

The GodBeast Customs Glyos Grey CyberRhino Head Glyos Accessory

The GodBeast Customs Glyos Grey CyberRhino Head Glyos AccessoryI don't know the exact name of the cybernetic Battle Beasts-esque Rhinoceros head as the package didn't have one, so I'm calling it a CyberRhino head here. As with other releases in this hand-made series, the head was sculpted by Jason Frailey (the guy who sculpted the Armorvor) and was molded by the GodBeast, debuting at C2E2 last month. Most of his heads debut online and are ordered through the October Toys forums, cast in resin so you'll need to be careful with them. Sadly these heads have yet to be cast in PVC, the kind of plastic used for most Glyos figures. If I could, I'd love to invest in getting these cranked out on a larger scale just so I could have more of them.

New Jason Frailey / The Godbeast Collab: Rhino Armorvor Head

I don't have full details yet, but when has that stopped me before?

This awesome Rhino Glyos Armorvor head showed up on the October Toys forums courtesy of Talyn (image to the right).  I'm reading it's on display and maybe up for grabs at The Godbeast's table at C2E2 and can be seen on the C2E2 exclusive Infection Armorvor body which debuts this weekend.

It's awesome, and we hope to have more details as soon as I realize where I missed the announcement for them!

UPDATE: Friend of the site (and good personal friend) Shaun Clayton was at C2E2 and confirmed these were on sale for $15 per.  He was also kind enough to snag one (image below), so you'll be seeing more pictures of this awesome noggin pretty soon!

Review: Seth Longmire Custom Glyos Glyan Squad Verihex Action Figure

Seth Longmire Custom Glyos Glyan Squad Verihex Action FigureWelcome to day #600! Let's look at the Glyan Squad Verihex figure, which is an edition size of (I believe) five. In a series of back-and-forthings and trades, this nifty release found its way into my toy shelves and stands next to my other Glyos figures. The creator's blog is here if you want to read that. The creator has done numerous Glyos customs, including a matching Armodoc and several light-up pieces. Neat stuff. If you have the chance, grab one. Matt Doughty's Glyos line is unique in that it's super-limited and a big chunk of it is sacrificed to provide the canvas to the creativity of others, which is what makes some of these guys even more special. Something ceased to be so that this nifty figure could happen.

Sucklord Fans Note: GalacticJerkbags.com Exclusive Glyos

If you like Sucklord Glyos releases (and who doesn't?) you should take note of the Galactic Jerk Bags exclusive "Interplanetary Bromance" coming soon.  No prices or date yet, but we do have some details, which are also on the site here.

"Each figure is hand dyed and hand painted. This is a collaborative piece and will be very different from the last exclusive, the Karate Chumps. Those were made via special order by Sucklord himself and ended up being sold out. This exclusive will be sold directly here on the site and will be limited to 21 hand numbered pieces!"

Oh wait.... 21?  Now is a good time to give up hope.  But hey, someone will get lucky!  (Probably not me though.  I am not a lucky duckling.)

It's pretty awesome.

Review: GodBeast Customs Glyos Green CyberGator Head Glyos Accessory

The GodBeast Customs Glyos Green CyberGator Head Glyos AccessoryFrom the initial lump of clay to the product being in my house, a mere 3 weeks and change went by and I got a CyberGator head of my very own. This head was sculpted by Jason Frailey (the guy who sculpted the Armorvor figure design) as an alternate head for that figure, but as of right now there are no plans to mass-produce it in PVC. The GodBeast, a Glyos fan and amazing maker of toy things, cast the head and is now turning out some high-quality copies of the head, and the neck peg fits pretty perfectly in the Armorvor body as you can see. The catch? It comes unpainted, so if you don't have the equipment, skills, or expertise, it's basically a kit you'll never complete. Unless you're crafty, in which case it's a great (if not cheap) add-on to one of the more fun Glyos releases of the year.

Goboids Preview Wave Launched, Sold Out

Over the weekend, some large custom Goboids brains went on sale and abruptly sold out.  With about 8 one-off pieces, this low run was pretty much assured to go quickly.

Each head sold for about $20 and looks great on Gobon bodies.  And Monkaa too.  Heck, just check it out, you're in for a treat.

We'll do our best to keep you posted on the next run so you can get one!

Ni Stuff Alien Corp 2.0 Coming to NYCC

There's a Ni Stuff Update!   Alien Corp 2.0 will be at New York Comic Con 2012 at booth #3321, featuring numerous hand-cast parts like in the picture below.  Fancy stuff.
This is just a tease, and he promises more soon.  But you knew that since you already check his site all the time, right?  Good on you.  This stuff looks pretty nifty!  He has a small (and I mean physically small) gallery of Alien Corp figures from 2010 as well.

Custom: Crystar via Weaponeers of Monkaa, Witchcraft

With a few lucky fans getting shipped Weaponeers of Monkaa products early and others still having grabbed a few at PowerCon last weekend, numerous awesome custom creations have surfaced.

But they all cower before JonWes' amazing Crystar build.

This spectacular concept technically doesn't exist as no clear blue Monkaa parts have yet to be stamped out, but jeepers.  Check that baby out.   It looks like at least 3 figures' worth of parts were used, so keep that in mind when you consider which figures to get next week at the Spy Monkey Creations Weaponeers of Monkaa launch.

For more on Crystar, click here.
