Review: Onell Design Glyos Crayboth Hanosyric Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Crayboth Hanosyric Action FigureEven though this isn't the first metallic blue version of this character, the Crayboth Hanosyric stands out due to the fact that it's a brighter color that really has more personality than the darker version we got a few years ago. The sculpted grooves really gobble down the light, making the metallic blue swirly plastic look bright by comparison. It shipped alongside a metallic purple figure, and both are arguably worth the asking price of $3.00 per - especially if you don't yet own one or more Crayboth figure.

Glyaxia II Drop Info Dump

http://onelldesign.blogspot.com/2014/05/mission-details.html
The Glyos Transmissions Web Log posted the menu for this Sunday's Glyaxia release.  Called Glyaxia II: Escape from Block Base this collection has a lot of yellow, a lot of blue, and some surprises to be named later.

Also notable is a $1 Armorvor price increase, the return of vinyl pieces, and some other goodies.  The Glyaxia Command Sentinel (left) was teased in some art on the Onell blog ages ago, so it's nice to see it finally making the transition to the third dimension.

In case you're in a horrible future in which the Onell blog is no longer online, see the menu for Sunday, May 11's drop below.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Spectre Armorvor Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Spectre Armorvor Action FigureWhile it seems the mainstream toy business looks down their nose at glow in the dark toys, thankfully the Indie crowd loves them. Onell Design's Spectre Armorvor was the first and so far only glowing Armorvor, and with a limit of 1 per customer it sold out quickly. The figure has only minimal paint applications, very similar in appearance to the Hades Mimic Armorvor - the second decorated release.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Gendrone Spectre Force Gobon Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Gendrone Spectre Force Gobon Action FigureI know what you're thinking - didn't they already make one of these? The answer is "sort of." The glow in the dark plastic changes a tiny bit with each release, and the Gendrone Spectre Force Gobon shines quite brightly in the dark. A month later this figure was still available - why, I don't know, it's quite good. Gobon figures seem to be slower sellers as of late which means you people are missing out on something cool - the rotund robots have two pretty distinctive body types, two heads, and this one glows for crying out loud.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Gendrone Ultra Corps Mimic Armorvor Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Gendrone Ultra Corps Mimic Armorvor Action FigureSince its introduction a few years ago, this particular figure has been released in dozens of colors and tends to sell out quickly. Oddly the Gendrone Ultra Corps Mimic Armorvor stuck around for weeks - I'm not sure why, the silver plastic looks pretty fantastic - and for all I know it'd take to dye well, if you're into that sort of thing. It's the same 18-piece figure as always, which means that not only can you swap parts with other releases, but you're also potentially satisfied with the size of your Armorvor collection at this point as we round 20 flavors.

Review: ToyFinity Mordles Quinhozs Vinyl Figure

ToyFinity Mordles Quinhozs Vinyl FigureAnother one! Thankfully ToyFinity has kept the big Mordle releases tight, so figures like this Mordles Quinhozs Vinyl Figure aren't part of an endless, tiresome parade of expensive vinyl - instead, we've had 3 so far and each one is pretty cool for different reasons. The line kicked off with red, switched to glow in the dark, and now we're going for a Jaws-inspired grey figure with cold, black eyes of death and a little white patch on his chin/belly/whatever it is. I'm quite fond of the design, the original red figure has remained on my desk since I got him.
