It is not the slightest bit hyperbolic to call the the Delphi Ryllcedia
a long-awaited release - which is amazing, when you think about it.
Glyos, Pheyden, and friends are relatively young in the world of figure
collecting but through the power of innovative storytelling, they
created demand for a product that wouldn't exist for over a decade. Take a look at the Onell Design blog to see how far back it goes - and there's even more buried in their Passcode
animation. The creatures' backstory is, to say the least, kind of
vague - but they're ancient beings that had something to do with the
origin of the Armorvor, or something. Custom "Armored Delphi" figures
appeared in a Custom Corps drop in 2010, and have remained a
hot-ticket item demanded by fans for mass production. This figure is
based very much on those early releases, with pale grey skin and a pink
accent plus lots of ridges and a pink swoosh. In other words, this is
pretty much exactly what you have been waiting for all these years.

Glyos Onell Design August 23 2020 Drop Menu
Wave 88! The first drop since May brings lots of armorvor variants plus the teased, Custom Corps'ed, and long-awaited Delphi figures. It looks like the run was bigger than tiny so some are still available!

Onell Design Drop Sunday 8/23
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Now it's 10:30 PM Eastern.
UPDATE: The drop has been delayed until 10:00 PM Eastern due to power outages.
If you can believe it - and I don't know that I do - Onell Design has a drop on Sunday. Well, that part I can believe, but what's amazing is the teaser video shows a Delphi in it.
For those of you who are newish to Glyos, you may not know who or what these guys are. The figures debuted over 10 years ago, and to date only exist as custom figures. You can see some here. The characters show up in the games and animated videos as some all-knowing special beings, pulling the strings and observing Pheyden and the Glyosverse. It's also one of a short list of characters fans have been asking for, and asking for a decade. This is a big deal.
Set your alarms for Sunday at 9:30 PM Eastern.

The Delphi Oracle: 2012 Release Possible, Armorvor Eyes Too

"The Delphi will make it into
production, hopefully before the end of 2012. I'm happy you still like
those strange looking creatures!"
Insert giant smile here.
If you don't know who or what a Delphi is, shame on you. Not just because it's an awesome part of the Glyos legacy, but the figure is pictured to the left. The figure currently exists as Custom Corps releases (read: very expensive and rare hand-made one-offs, see some here) and a run of metal Delphi heads were also made, so the rest of us cry like little girls thinking we can never get one. Well, looks like we might be able to get one soon! Rejoice!
There are also comments about the Armorvor eyes, and here they are:
"The different color eyes on the
Armorvor was just to spice things up and make the first production run
something special. There are less of the red eyes versions out there,
and even a few oddball ones that escaped the barn."
As of yet no other colors have shown up, so if you have some, know that you are bound by Internet Toy Bragging Rights Law to share your finds!

Onell Posts Armorvor Concept Art, History
The Glyos Transmissions Web Log posted a hefty story for us all today with Armorvor: History and Concepts. This really cool article shows off a number of Armorvor weapons which haven't been produced (yet at least) as well as detail the inspiration for the figure, who was involved in its birth, and even namechecks two other figures which were postponed to get him out first (Delphi, Noboto.)
...as much as I'm looking forward to a Delphi of my own, I think they made the right choice. But hey, at least we know that a non-Custom Corps Delphi might be in the cards soon, right?
