July Glyos Drop Sneak Peeks

The Glyos Transmission Web Log has updated with numerous awesome new photoshoots of figures from the July drop... and also confirmation of a July drop.

Outside has new figures and builds, including what appears to be a couple of new black vehicles.  (Also, it confirms the July drop.)

The Rocks showcases a Hades Traveler plus a few really cool painted vinyl shots-- worth seeing, and most likely, worth buying.  The coloration seems vaguely similar to RoboStrux.

Finally, Hades Times Two shows the above figure and some gorgeous environment shots.  Oh, nature! Is there anything you can't do?

Review: Onell Design Glyos Zorennor Exploration Division Crayboth Senyrith Action Figure

Its name is a damned mouthful! The Zorennor Exploration Division Crayboth Senyrith is named such, I believe, because Onell Design honcho Matt Doughty is likely a sharp tack who wants to remind me just how bad I am with naming things. Oh sure, I say I'm bad with names, but this proves it-- I am devoid of creativity. While I realize this isn't exactly a well-thought-out review, at four bucks, you really ought to get one. Well, not this one, as it's sold out. Go get another one if you can, because it's eBay or bust for the Zorennor Exploration Division Crayboth at this point. As they're cheap and trickled out slowly, these are repaints I always look forward to seeing. I hope they make more, and I really hope that Onell makes other similar squat minifigures in this exact style. When I fantasize about designing my own action figure line, they're pretty much exactly like this in terms of construction, so it's wonderful to see someone out there make a small, durable, cheap toy that's fun to mess with.

Surprise: Glyos Nonillia Crayboth Exists, Was Free

In a big surprise, Onell Design packed a Nonilla Crayboth in every order from the last drop!  How delightful.  The figure is clear pink with glitter chunks, which you can see in the photo to the left.

The figure makes (at least) the 15th release of the mold, and is pretty dang spectacular.

For more information on this figure, check out the official story "Stowaway" on the Glyos Transmission Web Log.  It was not available for sale, but was free with orders from the last drop.  At press time we do not know if any are still available.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Comrado Sarvos Action Figure

While Glyos figures like Comrado Sarvos form a line of many similar figures, they're all pretty fun and neat. There aren't a lot of internet-exclusive direct-to-consumer figure lines, so it's hard to be too grumpy over the fact that there are lots and lots of repaints in this line. Particularly since the designers throw in bonus parts, this figure is Sarvos (the round head with big black eyes) but if you don't like it? There's a Phanost head, which is a rocky creature with a pretty amazing paint job, covered in cracks.

Glyos May 25, 2012 Drop Menu

To the left,  you'll see a thumbnail from Friday night's big Onell Design Glyos Drop!  The May 25, 2012 offering (and prices) are preserved for future generations, or people writing reviews who were wondering "So what did that cost again?"

The Onell crew also posted a great update about the new figures, including some cool commentary about where a certain shade of green came from.  Which I didn't see before I placed my order, and I'd  have totally bought the completely appropriately named "Remnant Pheyden."  I swear, Matt's a genius.

Check 'em out, and then cry because you missed them!  Click here to see what's left.

Swell Glyos Fan Art of Scar Pheyden by Jason Ho

All-around nice guy and friend to things that are great Jason Ho drew this swell Scar Pheyden artwork which seems like it would make a great t-shirt.  I'd wear one.  Who can make this happen for me?

Be sure to check out the full art at Jasonbot.com.  He also has a really cool Battle Beasts drawing.

Review: Callgrim Callgrim The Order Triton Action Figure

If you don't have any of these yet, Callgrim The Order Triton is worth a look-- heck, they all are pretty good, and the one mold has so many configurations and colors that I'd say it's worth grabbing a couple if you're already on board with the Cult of Glyos. There's a story which plays out on the Callgrim web pages, but if someone just hands you a figure all you have to go from is a nifty toy with a trading card. The rest is pretty much up to you.

Onell Design March 23, 2012 Sale Live! Here's the Menu, Too

During the last sale, the Onell Design drop was packed with surprise items that sold out very quickly. Rather than lose them to the ages, I took a bunch of pictures and you can see what you missed, oh you lucky people of tomorrow! (That's it on the left. The film strip looking thing.) New surprises include an AWESOME new Crayboth (I missed the black one and the two glow-in-the-dark ones before and am kicking myself still!) plus tons of other great items.

As I type this, items are already selling out inside the first 25 minutes. The Deep Space Glyans are gone, but you can see everything you missed on the menu!

What were your favorites? Let us know, post some comments! Both of you! (I know you're out there, I can hear you breathing.)
