Review: ToyFinity Manglors Manglord - Standard Action Figure

 Apparently you can not only shame the Jolly Green Giant but you can also out-Hulk the Hulk. The early 2023 debut of the 3 3/4-inch scale (but much larger) Manglord - Standard was something of a surprise, I only found out it was actually coming a couple of days early. While Ideal's original toy was sort of a jolly green giant of a Hulk x Swamp Thing hybrid, the new one sculpted by Erwin Papa and Matt Doughty is less fragile and not junk. This is important - it's a hefty guy with lots of parts. At $26 it wasn't too outlandish compared to some of Hasbro's bigger 3 3/4-inch scale offerings, and the extra wacky limbs for $7 was a sort of no-brainer upsell.

Cappy Space Won't Quit, Outwatcher on Thursday

Adding yet another figure to a robust drop, Cappy Space reveals the Outwatcher on Instagram.  It's going to come with a bunch of heads and be painted to look like The Mandalorian.

So far this means there's a Crayboth, a Diver, and a wrestling gator - and, I assume, there's probably one or two more surprises coming.  Good stuff.  Bookmark the Cappy Space Bazaar and set an alarm for 9:00 PM EST Thursday night.

Squish Bit Figs at Culture Pirates, Possibly Also Vending Machines

I'm crushing your head! Newish Bit Figs in the Culture Pirates store.  And they're cheap.

The really cool Glyos-compatible Bit Figs pixel figures are getting a new run (with Glyos hole!) in more flexible plastic, seemingly now with partially painted eyes.  The unpainted ones were nice, but these are a little nicer.  Click here to see if you can get any - some sold out.  Failing that, check vending machines at Dollar Tree or other fine stores near you.

I have a bunch of the firmer PVC ones, one of which is acting as a crown on a staff in my Vlixden hand.  I'm very fond of the little guys.

Cappy Space Also Releasing Headliner Goliath Thursday

Joining the new Diver, it's Headliner Goliath!  The Mystical Warriors of the Ring figure had numerous unpainted and lightly painted releases since its 2014 debut, but this is the first fully-painted one.  Set those calendars for 9:00 PM EST Thursday - specifically here!

And if that weren't enough, a new Crayboth is coming too!

Cappy Space Descends Into Knights of the Slice with New Guardian Diver

Prices have yet to be announced, but Guardian Diver was identified on Instagram and.... well, just look at it.  I want one.  You want one.  This is going to be pretty easy.

Review: Outer Space Men Galactic Holiday Voidrillia of the Voidrillion Command Luna Eclipse Action Figure

I like this Galactic Holiday Voidrillia of the Voidrillion Command Luna Eclipse because her colors don't match any other human action figures I have in my toybox. She stands out. This 3 3/4-inch scale repaint of a resculpt turned out well, but according to Matt Doughty has some design connections to Queen Kirallius [FOTD #2,186], the figure from early 2020 that you regret missing. As a repaint of the original Luna Eclipse [FOTD #2,371], she has pretty much the same form factor. You can swap arms between bent and straight, she has a backpack, and there's a removable helmet with an opening visor. The figure one-ups the previous releases by adding a pair of blasters from the Cyclops action figure and a wild paint job, but you lose the glow-in-the-dark elements. Win some, lose some.
