Review: Outer Space Men Bluestar Inferno Action Figure

http://www.16bit.com/fotd/200423-osm-gitd-2019-blue-inferno.shtml
Since the 2010 relaunch The Outer Space Men has been pretty stop and go - periods of inactivity are followed by huge bursts of releases, and Bluestar Inferno kicked off the impressive-but-pricey blue glow series late last year. As you no doubt know, the blue glow plastic used by this series (and all Glyos or Onell Design figures) tends to shine incredibly brightly. A short exposure to UV or sunlight means hours of blue glow, be it dim or brightly depending on when you examine it. I've seen these figures glow after eight hours... just not incredibly brightly when hour eight rolls around.

Healey Made Nods a Classic in Raider (Hunter) Drop

https://healeymade.com/collections/live-shop
You missed it!  Healeymade's Raider (Hunter) went up at 4:20 PM Eastern and sold out in short order.  The retro-style figure positively nails the looks of toys from the 1970s and 1980s, with deco based on one in particular.      It was $25.

Oddly, the Commander figure was out of stock at the time the new figure went live - and now is  back in stock.  If you've never picked up this particular mold, it's recommended.  Check here for availability.

Battle Tribes and Healey Made Drops Incoming

New!   Healey Made and Battle Tribes shops will be getting updated with new toys this week.

The Healey Made Instagram confirmed a drop would be on Monday, April 20 but not what or when.  His previous figure is the Commander Raider, and if it's still in stock Monday I may order one.  I have the Shadow Raider and it's a gem.

Far less of a mystery is the Chuck Norris and Ninja-influenced Battle Tribes drop.   3 new figures with tons of gear and heads go up at 6:00 PM Pacific on 4/22.  Some older figures are still available.

Review: Toy Pizza Meteor II Action Figure

http://www.16bit.com/fotd/200416-toy-pizza-meteor-ii.shtml
Ever since I discovered Glyos I was hoping there would be a mass-produced Metroid-referencing figure like this Meteor II Action Figure. I nagged a few people about it, but Toy Pizza was not one I pestered - that I recall. I was pretty surprised when this figure came to pass, and it's one of those things I never thought would ultimately materialize. It's great - but it's expensive. A standard Rift Killer 3 3/4-inch action figure sells for about $18, with Axis Joints at about $3 and Phase Arms at about $2. It's expensive - and I somehow missed the pre-order window. Unlike other figures from its release drop, this one stuck around for a while. I don't think that's remotely a knock on quality, but $30 is really expensive for what you get. If it weren't a "bucket list" figure, I'd probably have a hard time buying it myself. But it is, and I love it.

Review: Onell Design CyMa Queen Kirallius Action Figure

http://www.16bit.com/fotd/200414-glyos-cyma-queen-kirallius.shtml
This CyMa Queen Kirallius sold out in short order, and with good cause. The Cyber Mama mold from Toy Pizza was still a new release when this figure came out, and it did a good job taking existing parts and really building it out. The figure includes a ton of pieces from multiple figures to bash together one of the very best crossover releases we've ever seen out of Onell Design.[ READ THE FULL REVIEW ]

Review: Onell Design Armorvor Athrodak Parasitic Clone

http://www.16bit.com/fotd/200407-glyos-armorvor-arthrodak-clone.shtmlGlyos figures usually turn out as shiny, cool, distinctive little things. The Armorvor Athrodak Parasitic Clone comes in a hitherto-unseen clear flesh color, which looked really cool in the pictures and is even more impressive in person. I'm sorry, I meant to say "unsettling." Capturing the toothy, ghoulish, dead-eyed creatures of the deep in plastic has been tough - the Chap Mei Animal Planet ones looked cute, and every figure or model I see tends to be perfectly nice looking.
