Glyans, Armorvors, and more await you in Preternatural Progeny.  It looks like the wolf head is getting a modified upgrade from the teaser image, and there are comments from the creators confirming two new Armorvor releases are in this drop.

 Mark your calendars for Sunday December 15 2019, 9:30 PM.  Change that to Monday, December 16.

Glyos Black Friday 2019 Round-Up

In addition to the Bluestar Outer Space Men, quite a few new Glyos figures are up for ordering.

The painted $25 Shadow Raider is already sold out, but the green $20 Chlorophyll Raider is still available. The legend is the Healey Made team contacted an old Kenner sculptor to make a wholly new character for you sci-fi 3 3/4-inch toy fans.  Click here to check the store for availability.  Other than a blue proto version which sold quickly, these may be some of the first painted releases.

The Outer Space Men - Bluestar Blue Glow Figures Live Now!

As of now we don't know how many glow-in-the-dark Bluestar Outer Space Men figures will be ran, but the first four are in the shop now.  Astro-Nautilus, Inferno, Metamorpho, and Xodiac were the first four figures ran in 2010 - and now they're the first four blue figures!  Check availability here.  They're $25.00 each.

New from 1000toys and Onell Design, Glyosynth Glyninja Dark Is Live!

Surprise!  The Glyosynth Glyninja Dark from 1000toys is in the Onell Design store.  It's a higher-end figure that doesn't come around very often, so grab yours while you can!

Nemo's Factory Droids at D-Con, In Store Now

If you are going to D-Con, Anaheim's Designer Con, this weekend be sure to stop by booth #3028 to see Cappy Space.  You can pick up CPs&Qs AV Robot or R-Toolio there, or order it on this web site right here.  These are Glyos-compatible figures and mix with The Outer Space Men as well as those 3 3/4-inch My Hero Academia figures you see at the GameStop.  They look pretty sharp.

CPs&Qs AV Robot is a gold recolor of the Nemo's Factory AV Robot, while R-Toolio is a clever redeco of the Onell Design Hub set.

It's been a few years, but RawShark Studios has a new figure!  Grimpool is in the store now, and is probably going to D-Con in 10 days too. Be there, or don't.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Armorvor Kugarrec Onell Design

Another nod to a classic and rare action figure, Armorvor Kugarrec hit as part of a trio of new creatures near the end of September. And it's good. Our new pal evokes a classic figure from the Laser Beasts range known in English as "Scope Cougar," named after the game early 20-something toy collectors do at Target at toy runs. And now that I have alienated all of you, I can just gush about this one.

Cappy Space Drop Thursday - B~R~I~C Characters

Cappy Space wrote in to let us know The Cappy Space Bazaar will be back with a new drop at 12:00 PM PST on November 14.  3 new figures will be up for grabs!

I asked for a tease to share, Cappy said: "The drop features B~R~I~C characters; personalities that can be found passing through the Biotech Renewal and Insertion Corps battlefield unit."

Review: Plastic Imagination Rise of the Beasts Rhino and Scorpion - Blue and Green Glow

A surprise! In June 2019 I got a message from Jon "Little Rubber Guys" Karis with glow in the dark blue and green versions of his Rhinoceros and Scorpion figures. No names, no dates, just a surprise - and of course, I immediately had to photograph them for a review in the future. I shot Rhino and Scorpion - Blue and Green Glow individually, and it turns out they'd be a four-pack. Ah well.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Armorvor Neo Wyverillian

Along with the Kugarrec and Arthrodak flavors, the Armorvor Neo Wyverillian dropped three new heads on us all at once - which is kind of stunning, given the Armorvor has only been a Wolf and Neo-Granthan for the last 8 years. Due to Matt Doughty's hesitance to waste anything, this figure is particularly curious - the dragon head is painted grey plastic, and the wings are molded in red plastic. What other parts are hiding out there for future release?

Review: Onell Design Glyos Skullboto Soldier

Onell Design figures cosplay like nobody's business, and the fantastic Skullboto Soldier is probably a nod to a specific toy I just can't place. The classic Noboto form has been augmented with a skull-like head paint application, complete with a crack in the skull and slightly obscured-by-the-collar teeth you can see when you pop off the head, or scroll down a bit. What's more, a vampire-like set of fangs on the Quallerran head let you make a monster if you dare. As usual, you have excellent options here.

Cappy Space - A New Official Glyos Store Packed with Unique Colorways

Cappy Space Bazaar is a new-to-me store run by Glyos superfan Cappy, who has been tracking Crayboth info on the boards for years.  He reached out to tell us that not only did he have a few exclusive figures last year, and now he has a store with a lot of exclusive figures.

If you're new to Glyos and want to try a lot of varieties with one shipping charge, check out his store.  This is a good place to start or to get building.  There are no exclusive-to-this-store molds, but there are lots of really cool colorways here and a $16 Bio-Mass Monster is a pretty fantastic price.

Toy Pizza Brings Back Action Figure of the Month Club for 2020

It's that time again!  Action Figure of the Month by Toy Pizza is back for year 2 and it's already 40% funded.

Sign-ups last through October 22 in one- and twelve-month intervals.  Click here and it's $30 for 1 month or $240 for 12 months.  Early figure prototypes and concepts are shown, and I have to say this is a very exciting batch.  Last year's were good, but these seem a bit better.

Review: Outer Space Men Cosmic Radiation Zero Gravity Action Figure

I have enjoyed the Cosmic Radiation Zero Gravity figure, but it's wildly inessential. Regular Zero Gravity [FOTD #2,041] already glows in the dark and for $5 more has a cardback and a more interesting paint job. The Infinity version has a preposterously detailed human head, thanks in part to some of the best paint you'll see on a human head the size of a peanut. Commander Comet is often similarly as good - you can't not be impressed by it.

Review: Toy Pizza Rift Killer Cola Action Figure

I don't own too many Toy Pizza figures, but I like the 3 3/4-inch figures a bunch. The Rift Killer Cola Action Figure enough to want the mold again - cola-colored clear brown plastic is wrapped in silver, red, and a couple of shades of blue that may recall Pepsi and RC Cola packaging. It also provides a nice counterbalance to the Nuka T-51 Power Armor [FOTD #2,061] as far as continuing the cola wars goes.

Coming soon: If you're a toy collector of a certain age, "Blue Stars" hold a certain meaning for you - and now it can hold new meaning with the Outer Space Men Bluestar Series revealed on Instagram. Glow in the Dark Blue Astro-Nautilus, Xodiac, and Inferno were teased - and the packaging is gorgeous.  (Gary and Mel, t-shirts please.)

These are expected around Black Friday.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Gobon Renegade Hunter

I'm kind of amazed that the Gobon Renegade Hunter exists as a production figure. Custom Corps figures were shown in 2010 - it seemed almost unthinkable that one would actually get mass-produced for all of us, and here we are. For "existing figure with new parts," this upgraded Gobon is a pretty good deal. I have had this mold in other colors for a while and reissuing silver totally makes sense. (I would also like to see more clear ones.) The construction is the same as it ever was, with removable feet, hands, arms, legs, a 3-piece body, and 2 heads... plus a bonus head this time. You have five faces from which to choose with this release, meaning if you only buy one Gobon mold it may as well be this one.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Rift Renegade Construct

As part of the twelfth anniversary drop, this Rift Renegade Construct does a good job delivering on the promise of Glyos. Figures usually come with a set array of parts - there are alternate heads or limbs, or weapons, or bonus packs a figure might usually get. For this one, we got a Rift Killer figure with bonus Device Ninja parts and the end result is unsurprisingly great. Having all the parts in one bag tends to change the general feel of the figure - especially if you're the kind of person who keeps parts of the original figure together. It's all the original figure, providing the obsessive with more display options.
