Syclodoc Concepts at Onell's Glyos Blog

You should have seen this by now, but if you  haven't, go see it.  Lots of great concept arts and commentary on the Glyos Transmissions Web Log for the December 12 release of the first-ever Syclodoc!

There are other pieces of art (like a colored yellow/blue version.) They are cool.  I would totally buy that.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Stealth Armorvor Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Stealth Armorvor Action FigureThe third Armorvor to sell out is the clear, unpainted, colorless Stealth Armorvor. While I personally am not too keen on clear figures, Onell Design seems to have a plastic that really shines if lit properly. I haven't seen a lot of discoloration either, so it's (so far, at least) easy to see this as quality stuff. Many fans buy clear figures not to keep, but to customize by dying them red or green or some other color and you can find some really spiffy designs on the October Toys Forums and elsewhere.

Jason Frailey and TGB Customs' New Gorilla Armorvor Head

Jason Frailey, the sculptor behind the Armorvor and the CyberGator head and other fine pieces, has a new one!  The Gorilla can be seen in detail on his own blog, and ordered via the October Toys Forums.

It's pretty awesome.

Onell Design Teases Next Week's Glyos Drop

While there has been speculation we might see a new mold before the year is up - which hasn't been confirmed nor denied that I saw, but Matt has said that there's a red Armodoc with something different beyond color! Hmmm!  Well, I'm excited.

Metallic blue figures like Pheyden with a scarf, new Buildmen, and a stunning metallic blue Gobon are previews for the November 30 drop.  Click here to read all the details so far, more are coming!

Review: GodBeast Customs Glyos Green CyberGator Head Glyos Accessory

The GodBeast Customs Glyos Green CyberGator Head Glyos AccessoryFrom the initial lump of clay to the product being in my house, a mere 3 weeks and change went by and I got a CyberGator head of my very own. This head was sculpted by Jason Frailey (the guy who sculpted the Armorvor figure design) as an alternate head for that figure, but as of right now there are no plans to mass-produce it in PVC. The GodBeast, a Glyos fan and amazing maker of toy things, cast the head and is now turning out some high-quality copies of the head, and the neck peg fits pretty perfectly in the Armorvor body as you can see. The catch? It comes unpainted, so if you don't have the equipment, skills, or expertise, it's basically a kit you'll never complete. Unless you're crafty, in which case it's a great (if not cheap) add-on to one of the more fun Glyos releases of the year.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Hades Pheyden MK II Action Figure

Onell Design Glyos Hades Pheyden MK II Action FigureThe first time this figure was sold, it had a harder resin scarf and was available for a short window of time through a special Glyaxia store. Now, Hades Pheyden MK II is available to everyone! Well, he was. For about an hour or less. Limited to 2 per customer, this nifty figure marks the debut of a PVC "scarf" accessory which does a surprisingly great job of changing the look and character of the figure with one tiny piece. Numerous other figures can wear it, like the Buildman or Govurom, but it seems a perfect fit for Pheyden and Scar Pheyden heads.

Review: Banimon Red Army 51st Corps Action Figure

Banimon Red Army 51st Corps Action FigureAfter its birthing from Onell Design, the Glyos System Series of toys has expanded rapidly with other companies building compatible lines like Banimon. The confusingly named Red Army 51st Corps is green, but the "red star" more or less confirms it may be allied to, you know, the reds. At about 1.3-inches tall, the figure is the smallest Glyos-compatible mass-produced PVC figure to date, while the Weaponeers of Monkaa seem to be the tallest. Based on the comics and artwork of one Boris Savic, these figures are adorably small with giant, swappable heads and a whole mess of weapons. In many respects, they're similar to Battle Beasts and include so many spare parts you can use these to augment your other Glyos figures. If you're a Glyos fan, you should get one or more of these.
