Review: Toy Pizza Green Ghost Capsule Carrying Case

I dragged my feet to get the Green Ghost Capsule Carrying Case. I didn't intend to get multiple capsules, but I think I have at least five - a custom from a friend, this one, a silver one, a gold one, and a clear green one. They're really neat! It's the kind of thing that I would make a nice display of, and collect as many as possible, if I didn't have too many toys already. They're inspired by a bunch of older toys including a Bill & Ted's Excellent Cereal premium and, I have to assume, Micronauts and their many capsules. They were pretty awesome - an Egyptian sarcophagus, a Moai, you just can't go wrong with that sort of thing. This particular one takes inspiration from two of the most important things in the world: Sentai heroes and pizza.

Review: Healey Made Assassin (Shadow) Action Figure

Speedy delivery! The Assassin (Shadow) showed up at my door a mere four days after going on sale, which is what I would refer to as unreasonably fast. At one point I assumed they would never both with this colorway because Assassin (R-Complex) [FOTD #2,334] exists. Both have very similar coloring minus the skin tone, so it was a real surprise to see the makers actually did all three molds in this flavor earlier this year.

Healey Made THX Trooper Live Now

Healey Made posted the expected (and welcome) Trooper (THX) figure - this is the one in Stormtrooper colors!  Not many are left, so click here to get one for $25.

A New Healey Made Drop Wednesday

A new challenger appears! A mysterious Healey Made Trooper has been teased on Instagram for launch at 6:00 PM Eastern.  Is it purple? I don't know.  But click here for the insta post.

These 3 3/4-inch figures are Glyos-compatible, but sculpted to look like old Kenner figures.  I think they're lots of fun and usually around $25.

Review: The Outer Space Men, LLC Outer Space Men Cosmic Radiation Terra Firma Action Figure

I slowed my roll reviewing the glowing The Other Space Men figures because we got a lot in short order. Too many, you might say, since she's still available for retail price and that retail price was on the higher side of things. Cosmic Radiation Terra Firma shares parts with Luna Eclipse - and functionality, there really wasn't a good reason to do both - bringing you what may well be the epitome of midcentury adventure and space fantasy during the space race. We got a really great Infinity Edition Terra Firma [FOTD #944] way back in 2014, and we've also got an orange Alpha Phase one, a white Beta Phase Whitestar figure, a couple of custom Galactic Holiday figures, and I assume a complete run of unreleased Bluestar Terra Firma sitting in a storage space somewhere in New York as I write this.

Glyos Onell Design July 9 2023 Drop Menu

 Is it a new drop? Yes it is.  The Onell Design store has been updated with wave 96, celebrating 16 years of Onell Design action figures.  While it may not sound like much, how many toys last three years?  Let alone five or ten?  That's a big deal.

There are a lot of highlights - I had to pounce on the Gauss Armor Relgost Fugitive and Traveler Gearius Granthan Drifter.  They were too cool. The Armorvor Granthan Drifter Kugarrec looks pretty sharp, too.  It looks like the Sincroborg Gray Renegade brings back panel lines - those are a rare find, indeed.

Just go to Onell.store and order something - there's a lot good there.  And here's the menu, people of the future, for your pricing reference.  The drop also was delayed by a few minutes, a rare blip in an otherwise smooth experience.

Review: Onell Design Pheyden Ignelleun

Is anyone reading this week? I have no idea. But I'm a little bit ashamed that I still have a lot of Glyos I haven't played with yet, and I just opened Pheyden Ignelleun last month. It's a good figure! You probably know all about the 2 3/4-inch figure Pheyden and the Glyos construction, but do you know about this particular color? Probably. I want to be sure people can find this in the future so I'm writing about him.

Onell Design Wave 98 - Sunday at 9:30 PM Eastern

As foretold, Wave 98 from Onell Design drops Sunday, July 9 at 9:30 PM Eastern.  Set those calendars.  Other than the inclusion of some cloth parts and a Scar Pheyden in that teaser shot, details are scarce.

Here's hoping for some neat crossovers and special surprises as it's an anniversary wave. It's also worth noting there have been more waves of Onell Design Glyos figures than most successful action figure lines have total figures, so that's pretty amazing.
