Review: Cappy Space Mischievers Standard Phibian Action Figure

Hey, a new mold! The Standard Phibian Action Figure looked cool, so I got it - and I already regret having skipped the Standard Belfry. The entire first wave of figures was gone from the store quickly, so future drops will probably be in demand because these are pretty good. $12 gets you a base figure with one alternate head for $12, which isn't cheap but it's pretty good. The figure is a hunched-over little fellow that's like an original Battle Beasts figure in terms of size, but they have more articulation and no bulky armor. I could see these guys being expanded a lot over time with alternate animal heads and different "adventure kit" accessory packs.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Noboto Diversus Mutant Action Figure

 This is another good one. The Noboto Diversus Mutant from 2018 matches the Onell Design Outer Space Men Orbitron Diversus [FOTD #1,470] from 2016, and the colors seem like a near-perfect match. It's pretty amazing, and as far as I know these are only three Glyos figures to have this exact coloring - the other being a Crayboth, who missed photo day. I'd love to see another figure or two to match these guys some day, particularly a traveler with a grooved head. The brain pattern just looks amazing, even when it's a tampo like on the Diversus Mutant made with the Noboto/Quallerran mold.

Healey Made Returns with Assassin (Shadow) on Saturday

While not much of a surprise, at least you know what to expect! According to Instagram, at 12:00 PM Eastern on Saturday, June 24, you can grab the Shadow Assassin.  The previous shadowy edition was the R-Complex Assassin, which had green skin - this new one has blue and more closely matches the other Shadow figures.  Click here to check the Healey Made store - at press time, the excellent Raider (Shadow V.2) is still available.

New The God Beast Drop Friday - It's Time for Hornet Squad

Hey! A new drop! The God Beast confirmed on Instagram that there will be a new drop Friday at 8:00 PM Central. Wave 54 - Hornet Squad - will bring you black PVC with purple and red painted highlights. Exciting! And here's the post.

Review: Healey Made Raider (Shadow V.2) Action Figure

Way back in 2019 we got Raider (Shadow) {FOTD #2,157] and I thought it was the best dang thing. I still do, but now we've got the similar-but-different Raider (Shadow V.2) that actually did not sell out before mine came in the mail. That's unusual. If it's still available in the shop I'd say go grab it, also there's a nifty cape that's thinner than some of the previous releases stuffed in the bottom of the Healey Made zip bag. I missed it despite looking for it the first time. The mold is still good, and there are enough little changes over version one that I felt obligated to waste $25 a second time. (I really like the figure.)

Battle Tribes Brings Micronauts Back Friday at Noon Pacific

Well that's a fun surprise!  Over on Instagram we saw some nice reveals of the Spy Monkey Creations newest drop, scheduled for Friday, June 16 at 12:00 PM Pacific.  It looks pretty cool.  Click here to see what's currently for sale.

Hasbro currently has the Micronauts trademark and hasn't been doing a heck of a lot with it other than a couple of San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive items in the last decade.  Threats of movies have come and gone without anything to show for it, and numerous episodes of an animated cartoon are said to have been completed without any plans to release them.  Marvel recently announced reprints of the old comic series, so at least you've got that.

Cappy Space Drop Menu June 9, 2023

Click here to see what's left at Cappy Space!  The new Phibians and Belfry even have accessory packs, so it's a pretty neat set. The little guys are about the size of Crayboth figures.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Gendrone Legion Phaseon Action Figure

Another great figure that has been on my display for over a decade, the cool swirly blue Gendrone Legion Phaseon has aged well. That's something you don't know when you write reviews of new toys. The mold started life as Beanbots, then they got retooled a bit and became another great robot toy. I think this was also the last painted Phaseon figure to be sold for $6 - subsequent releases were usually plussed up with Gobon Blasters, new heads, a cape, or other bonus parts.

They Blue It - Astrodite Bluestar Now Available

 Better late than never. The 2022 ASTRODITE BLUESTAR was posted to the Outer Space Men Shop on June 8, 2023.  She's a surprisingly cheap $15.  (If they lowered the prices on the other figures to $15, I think I'd order 'em all and complete my set - I only have the first four so far.)   She looks good, order her here.

New Cappy Space Drop Friday, June 9 with Bat? Ogre? Who Knows?

Review: Onell Design Glyos Armorvor Arthrodak Dark Nebula

I sometimes take too long to get to good figures, like the long-sold-out Armorvor Arthrodak Dark Nebula figure from 2019. The sheer amount of pre-pandemic stuff I got to get through before I drop dead is shameful, because there's so much good stuff out there and somehow nobody is writing about any of it.
