Review: Outer Space Men Galactic Holiday Darkoneth of the Voidrillion Command Cthulhu Nautilus Action Figure

You never know how time will change your favorites! This was the last of the four "Galactic Holiday" figures I opened from the 2022 series. Galactic Holiday Darkoneth of the Voidrillion Command Cthulhu Nautilus is a redeco of the somehow still incredibly striking Outer Space Men Cthulhu Nautilus Action Figure [FOTD #2,015] from 2018. The metallic skin, gorgeous clear blue eyes, striking metallic blue costume, and shiny gold trim made it a perfect figure right out of the gate. We weren't subject to Alpha Phase prepaints, it was just blammo - here is a stunningly weird statement of space toy awesomeness, and it was a then-whopping $35, and I still love it. But we later got a green version from Onell Design, a plain white version, green and blue glow versions... and none of them were as impressive as the original, although that green one is a personal favorite. This purple alien one looks like some amazingly weird late-1980s toy (or bronze-age comic nightmare) and the colors drastically change the look and feel of the figure. It's kind of amazing how the Glyos figures, thanks to their ongoing repaints, can highlight different aspects of a toy and make you see a figure you have in a new light.

Review: Onell Design Armorvor Ryllcedia Gorellux Action Figure

I've been cutting back a tiny bit on Armorvors because there are a lot of them - but back in 2020 I pounced on this Armorvor Ryllcedia Gorellux. For one, it was in a drop with Delphi so I had to get it - but also it was super awesome. I believe it was only the second release of the then-new head which hasn't been overexposed still, and I love the whole black/purple armor with pink highlights too. Even though I've got dozens of these armored animal army people, I had to get one more. It's a problem. But they're all pretty amazing.

Onell Design Restocked the Store... And Some Stuff Sold Through

 Onell.store restocked (and sold out of) some stuff at some point on Tuesday. The white Manglors were gone before I could grab a picture, and a few items have since sold out since I took the below - but you can potentially grab something now.  

If you don't already have a Star Marshall, do yourself a favor and grab a Star Marshall Sincroid Superior Core Aetheric.

Knights of the Slice Toy Pizza Drop Menu for March 18, 2023

 This drop - I think - was March 18, 2023.  I didn't see a note for this one, but a new drop is up here in the Knights of the Slice store!

Wolfski, the Mech Pilot, seems to be the same as the green Centurion Color Guard in the 3-pack but with a coat and new head.

 I'm also adding an extra picture for the Void Gear Queen Instant Army Multi-Pack - there are 4 figures and a lot of parts and pieces in there for $70, which is a pretty decent deal for Glyos things these days.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Rift Killer Grayvec Action Figure

Apparently I lost the photo for the packaged Rift Killer Grayvec in some shuffle, I've had this figure open and generally making an appearance whenever I get a new toy vehicle for years. The black/dark red coloring seems like it would go well with CyMa Queen Kirallius [FOTD #2,186], but I have no confirmation of this as of yet. The figure was a little pricey at the time, $18 seemed like a lot for an unaccessorized 3 3/4-inch scale figure. But I kept playing with it, and bought a few others, and as I get older I really do seem to get a better feel for "seems like a good deal" and "is a good deal." If you play around with it, or if it gets you to enjoy other toys, it's worth throwing down some cash. Also time makes fools of us all, Hasbro has a lot of 3 3/4-inch figures at around this price point now and they're not as weird either. 

This figure sat in the unreviewed folders, despite the toy having been released in 2018 and something I fuss with all the time.  It's a good one.

Review: ToyFinity Manglors Manglord - Standard Action Figure

 Apparently you can not only shame the Jolly Green Giant but you can also out-Hulk the Hulk. The early 2023 debut of the 3 3/4-inch scale (but much larger) Manglord - Standard was something of a surprise, I only found out it was actually coming a couple of days early. While Ideal's original toy was sort of a jolly green giant of a Hulk x Swamp Thing hybrid, the new one sculpted by Erwin Papa and Matt Doughty is less fragile and not junk. This is important - it's a hefty guy with lots of parts. At $26 it wasn't too outlandish compared to some of Hasbro's bigger 3 3/4-inch scale offerings, and the extra wacky limbs for $7 was a sort of no-brainer upsell.

Cappy Space Won't Quit, Outwatcher on Thursday

Adding yet another figure to a robust drop, Cappy Space reveals the Outwatcher on Instagram.  It's going to come with a bunch of heads and be painted to look like The Mandalorian.

So far this means there's a Crayboth, a Diver, and a wrestling gator - and, I assume, there's probably one or two more surprises coming.  Good stuff.  Bookmark the Cappy Space Bazaar and set an alarm for 9:00 PM EST Thursday night.

Squish Bit Figs at Culture Pirates, Possibly Also Vending Machines

I'm crushing your head! Newish Bit Figs in the Culture Pirates store.  And they're cheap.

The really cool Glyos-compatible Bit Figs pixel figures are getting a new run (with Glyos hole!) in more flexible plastic, seemingly now with partially painted eyes.  The unpainted ones were nice, but these are a little nicer.  Click here to see if you can get any - some sold out.  Failing that, check vending machines at Dollar Tree or other fine stores near you.

I have a bunch of the firmer PVC ones, one of which is acting as a crown on a staff in my Vlixden hand.  I'm very fond of the little guys.

Cappy Space Also Releasing Headliner Goliath Thursday

Joining the new Diver, it's Headliner Goliath!  The Mystical Warriors of the Ring figure had numerous unpainted and lightly painted releases since its 2014 debut, but this is the first fully-painted one.  Set those calendars for 9:00 PM EST Thursday - specifically here!

And if that weren't enough, a new Crayboth is coming too!

Cappy Space Descends Into Knights of the Slice with New Guardian Diver

Review: Outer Space Men Galactic Holiday Voidrillia of the Voidrillion Command Luna Eclipse Action Figure

I like this Galactic Holiday Voidrillia of the Voidrillion Command Luna Eclipse because her colors don't match any other human action figures I have in my toybox. She stands out. This 3 3/4-inch scale repaint of a resculpt turned out well, but according to Matt Doughty has some design connections to Queen Kirallius [FOTD #2,186], the figure from early 2020 that you regret missing. As a repaint of the original Luna Eclipse [FOTD #2,371], she has pretty much the same form factor. You can swap arms between bent and straight, she has a backpack, and there's a removable helmet with an opening visor. The figure one-ups the previous releases by adding a pair of blasters from the Cyclops action figure and a wild paint job, but you lose the glow-in-the-dark elements. Win some, lose some.
